Free Kids Haircuts at JC Penny All August!

Thanks to Barbara C. for pointing this out! In the Sunday paper on July 29th, there was a JC Penny ad insert announcing that JC Penny will be offering free haircuts during the month of August for children K-6. What a great opportunity to save!

We do have a JC Penny Salon in Wilmington in Independence Mall. I used to go there myself until my hairdresser relocated to her own salon 🙂 I was always pleased.

To book your child’s haircut, call 855-JCP-KIDS. It says to make an appointment while they last, so if you are interested, I suggest calling sooner rather than later!

CVS Diaper Sale- Less than Sam’s Club!

For those like me who have to buy diapers, I wanted to alert you to a diaper sale at CVS. When I did the math using coupons, the Pampers diapers, my personal favorites, turned out to be 16 cents per diaper while the Sam’s Club price for the same size and brand is 23 cents per diaper. That’s a difference of 7 cents per diaper. That’s a difference of $7 for 100 diapers!!!! Not to mention that you have to PAY for a Sam’s Club membership, too.

So……this is how the transaction goes:

Buy 1 Box of Pampers Diapers from CVS for $24.49
(I prefer Baby Dry Size 4, 96 count right now)

Then use:

$1.50 off coupon from the 7/29 Proctor and Gamble insert in the Sunday paper
$4.00 off coupon from scanning your card at the CVS coupon center (not everyone is guaranteed to get this coupon but many of you will)

Pay: 18.99 out of pocket for the box of diapers

After paying, CVS will give you back $3.00 in Extrabucks to use on your next purchase. If you count the Extrabucks, it’s like you paid $15.99, which makes them 16 cents per diaper!

What if you don’t use the $4 off coupon from the CVS machine; let’s say you don’t get that coupon. If you use your Sunday paper coupon and count the Extrabucks, you still pay 20 cents per diaper which is STILL less than the Sams Club price at 23 cents.

This is just another example of how the big box stores are not the best deal and especially not if you use coupons and store promos! IF you bought on average 100 diapers a month at Sam’s Club versus taking advantage of these store promos and coupons, you would overspend on diapers by $84 a year!

You have until Saturday, August 4th to get this great deal!

Earn Up to $200 in FREE Groceries at Harris Teeter!

How would you like to earn up to $200 in free groceries simply by transferring your prescriptions?

If so, once again, Harris Teeter is offering their pharmacy credit to customers who transfer their prescriptions to Harris Teeter pharmacy. The stipulation is that you must be a NEW pharmacy customer, so this is not available to those who already have their prescriptions at Harris Teeter. This is such a great program for many reasons:

1. You can earn up $200 total. You earn a $20 coupon credit for each prescription that you transfer. The $20 credits are transferred to your VIC card.

2. You can only spend one $20 electronic coupon credit per transaction.

 3. Harris Teeter offers FREE diabetic generics, FREE 14-day supply of antibiotics, and $3.99 and $9.99 generic drugs, so many customers find their pharmacy prices to be extremely comparable or even better than other pharmacies. PLUS, you get to earn the $20 credit per prescription transfer.

4. Harris Teeter offers a 15 minute guarantee, so you should never have to wait too long for your prescriptions. I love the idea of dropping off a prescription, shopping and then picking it up when you finish your shopping.

If you decide to take advantage of this offer, be sure to let the pharmacist know when you drop your prescription. You have to tell them that you want a punch card to earn your $20 credits. Once you pay for your prescription, the pharmacist will punch your card to give you a credit and then transfer it to your VIC card electronically. They will NOT do this automatically, so you have to express that you want to earn the $20 per prescription credit.

Finally, you have until October 2, 2012 to earn your credits and October 9, 2012 to spend your credits. That is plenty of time to take advantage of this awesome offer! Click here to read all the details!

Lowes Foods grocery stores have once again decided to grace us with their Super Double Coupons program! For an entire week, starting Wednesday, July 25th and ending Tuesday, July 31st, all Lowes Foods stores will be doubling coupons that have a face value of $1.98 or less.

This means that $1.00 coupons will double to $2.00 off, $1.50 will double to $3.00 off and if you happen to have a $1.98 coupon (thought I have never seen one), it would double to $3.96 off. You can double up to 20 coupons per transaction.

Keep in mind that, per their couponing policy, most Lowes Foods will not allow you to split orders and do multiple transactions during the week of Super Doubles. See their official coupon policy here. I encourage everyone to be respectful couponers and to abide by the rules and accept them as stated. It is my opinion that if you disagree with a policy, it’s a great idea to contact customer service or corporate, rather than take it out on the cashier.

Please share your great deals below or on the Delly’s Deals Facebook Page. Here’s to a week of great deals and happy shopping!

Kangaroo National Hotdog Day!

Drop by Kangaroo Gas Stations today, Monday, July 23rd from 10-1 to get one free hotdog per customer. Kangaroo is celebrating with Ball Park Franks for everyone.

Also, Arby’s is offering a $.64 Classic Roast Beef today only in celebration of their 1964 founding.

Eating out can be expensive, but if you coordinate it with various restaurant deals, you can definitely make it more affordable!

CVS- FREE Stayfree Maxis and Other Great Deals!

I paid nothing but tax ($.42) for all of these items from CVS!
Read below to see how I did it.

I dropped by CVS this morning to grab my FREE Stayfree Maxis. There was a $2.00 off coupon in today’s Raleigh Smart Source insert. The Maxis are on sale for $2.00, so they were free! All I had to pay was the tax.

While in there, I scanned my CVS Extrabucks card at the coupon center just to see if any other good coupons came out. Sure enough, I got the following coupons:

$3 off any Sunscreen Purchase
$1 off two Mars Candy Singles

I found some CVS brand sunscreen (2 oz size) this week priced at 2 for $3. After my $3 coupon, it became free as well.

I also noticed that Mars candy bars are 2 or $1 at CVS this week. After my $1 coupon, both my M&Ms and Snickers were free. How awesome is that?!

I bought 2 AMP energy drinks for my husband. They are on sale 2 for $3 but if you buy two, you automatically get $3 in CVS Extrabucks back, thus making them basically free.

Finally, I needed Kleenex Tissues and they are $.88 each at CVS this week. So, I bought three boxes and used a $.50 off 3 coupon from the Sunday paper a few weeks back. I then applied my $3 Extrabucks from the AMP drink to pay for the Kleenex and they were all free. I actually had to buy one more candy bar because my total had CVS owing me money and they wouldn’t do that, so I had to grab something cheap.

I split everything into two transactions and it looked like this:

Transaction #1:

2 AMP Energy Drinks for $3

I paid $3 plus tax and received back $3 in CVS Extrabucks after paying.

Transaction #2:

2 Snickers Bar Singles
1 M&M Single Pack
2 CVS Brand Sunscreen 2 oz size
2 Stayfree Maxi Pads, 14 ct.
3 Boxes of Kleenex with Lotion, 70 ct

I redeemed:

$1.00 off 2 Mars Candy Bars (CVS coupon from coupon center)
$3 off Any Sunscreen Purchase (CVS coupon from coupon center)
2 coupons for $2.00 off Stayfree Maxis
$.50 off 3 boxes of Kleenex
$3.00 in Extrabucks that I earned from buying the AMP

Grand total:

FREE plus tax!

Tips for CVS- find items on sale, apply your coupons and buy items that will earn you Extrabucks that you can use to pay for anything else in your cart. I love CVS!

You have through next Saturday, July 28th to do these deals at CVS!

Candy Bar Sale at Rite Aid!

Candy bar sale- paid $1.50 plus tax (avg. of $.18 per candy bar)

OK- so I’ll admit to being a little ashamed of posting this, but I’ll justify it by saying that there are many reasons people might want to stock up on candy bars. Maybe you’re a teacher or youth group leader who wants to use them for a prize box. Maybe you have teenagers who are going to buy them anyways and you’d rather get them on sale than have your teenager grab them at the convenience store for three times the price. Maybe you’re on the ABS or Low Carb diet and this is one of your freebie day items.

Whatever the reason, if you do like candy bars, this is the week to get them at Rite Aid. They are 2 for $1.00, select sizes of MARS brand candy bars. They should be clearly marked, so only grab the ones that have the 2 for $1 sign. By the way, you DO have to buy 2 to get the great price. If you buy one it will be $.99, so you may as well grab two.

Now here’s where the magic comes in- add coupons to the mix and you can get some of them FREE! Here’s the deal:

Milky Way (FREE)

Buy two and use this $1.00 off 2 coupon from Coupon Network. It’s that easy- the two candy bars will ring up to $1.00 and your coupon will remove the $1.00. They are both FREE!

Twix ($.25 each)

Buy two and use a $.50 off 2 coupon. I printed the coupon off the coupon center on my website a few weeks ago. It is no longer there, but if you happened to have printed it this is a great time to use it. This is why I recommend printing coupons in advance when you see one that you might use. You never know how long it will remain available!

Snickers ($.50 each)
I just wanted these- I did not have a coupon, although I hear there may have been some tear pad coupons out there to use on MARS candy bars for $.50 off 2.

The sale ends Saturday night, July 21st, so drop by before then to get the great deals!
